How We Can Help - Document Conversion

Document Conversion is all about converting file types from one file format to another.

What is Profile at Device?

File conversion can be done on mass (lots of files converted all at once) or converting one individual file into another file type as needed.

Why do you want to do this?

Let’s say you have a file server with lots of client information and all of it is stored information in Word, Excel, PDF’s, Tiff, JPG’s, BMP’s etc. There is a real benefit to converting all these different files into say a text searchable PDF/A (archive standard) file type for compliance. This not only means that your files are now one standard but also the fact that they are text searchable means you can search for a word or phrase across all of your documents – greatly increasing the ability to unlock the usefulness of your corporate information.

What’s more, Umango document conversion can be set up for this task with a few mouse clicks. Then set and forget as the document conversion happens all in the background.

What About Image Files?

Let’s say you have contract or a tender document and these are either printed on paper or in an electronic image that you can’t change. Using Umango Convert you can watch folders, emails or even the scanned images from dedicated scanners or multi-function devices and those files will be automatically converted to another file format. In this example we could scan the printed tender document and convert it to Word (OCR) to allow us to edit the document.

Tables and Excel Documents

Imagine if you have tables that are either printed or in an image file format. Using Umango Convert you can extract the table data right into Excel to allow you to make modifications.

Email converted files to others or back to yourself!

You can even email a document to a pre-defined email address and Umango will email back to you the converted file.

Recreate File Structures and File Names Automatically

With Umango you can watch existing folders and sub folders, convert the files it finds that meet your search criteria, then place the converted files into a new or existing location using the same filename and folder structure. Too easy!
